Best of Wicki Partners

01

Balthasar Wicki

Bärengasse

Bärengasse is one of my favorite places: an excellent Argentinian steakhouse right at Paradeplatz, run by Dieter Meier (from the band Yello), who can often be seen there, and with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. You won't be able to find a table without a reservation - please give my name as a reference when booking by phone, it might help.

Im Franz

Im Franz is a hidden restaurant in one of the city's liveliest districts, in Kreis 3 (where the Gelateria Di Berna that Raël recommends is also located) - tucked away in a back courtyard. Fantastic cuisine, especially for vegetarians and vegans - a small, well-protected secret with no tourists.

03

Vivien Keiser

Coco Grill & Bar

The world's greatest and most talented chef works here, who just happens to be my partner. The lovely herb garden is the perfect place to enjoy the legendary basket of vegetables, a glass of wine from the fantastic selection or something hearty from the charcoal grill.

La Contrada

A small family-run eatery serving truly excellent products, generous portions and authentic tunisian dishes.

05

Raël Fein

Monocle

On a sunday morning you might find me here in my cycling gear on a 'coffee-ride', enjoying their pain au chocolat and an oatmilk cappucchino.

Gelateria di Berna

Cinnamon roll ice cream? Marzipan & poppy seed ice cream? Or perhaps Sorbetto di Cioccolato fondente? Queuing is always (!) worth it.

07

Mirjam Gröbli

Nüni

Greek-Mediterranean deliciousness in Altstetten: The brunch buffet every Saturday features Zurich's best vegan salmon tartare.

Freilager

With flour from napoli, the 4.5-year-old "Lievito Madre" (sourdough starter) and perfectly calibrated proofing time, this pizza will take you straight to italy. The risotto with fresh spinach and mascarpone is also simply divine.

09

Elena Ilg

Sapa Canteen

When I feel like indulging in culinary memories of my four-week stay in Vietnam, I head here to order Bún Nem.

Yuma

Whether you go for the all you can eat dim sum on Mondays or the Hong Kong Breakfast on weekends: this place is always packed and always delicious.

02

Arife Asipi

Brasserie Schiller

At Brasserie Schiller you can watch the hustle and bustle on Sechseläutenplatz while tucking into the best moules frites in town.

Xylo

Extraordinary mezcal cocktails, natural wines and a chill, laid back venue - the perfect combination for a saturday afternoon.

04

Sven Kohlmeier

Rimini Bar

On sunny Saturday afternoons you might find me enjoying a glass of Minuty, a delightful, delicious Rosé at Rimini Bar.

Manuels Zigarrenbar

And if I fancy rounding off the evening with a cuban cigar, this is my favorite spot: the smoker lounge on the second floor. But Manuel's offers even more: on the ground floor you'll find rum specialties, Cuban cocktails and one of Zurich's largest coffee selections.

06

Sabrina Wälchli

Binz und Kunz

This is my go-to place around the corner where I enjoy relaxing with mezze and drinks on the lovely sun terrace.

El Lokal

El Lokal is the perfect place for a barbecue dinner or a quick beer by the Sihl before heading further into town. Situated in the center but still sheltered.

08

Badia Kotaich

Samigo Amusement

Be it for the hangover brunch on sunday or for the night before: this is the place to fully enjoy life. Oh and: grab a slice of truffle pizza while you're at it.

Gonzo

An iconic address on Langstrasse: Gonzo is where you meet old friends, dance and shake off the week (starting wednesday, if you're impatient).

10

The WPA

Stockerstrasse 44

Of course, the best coffee - by Stoll - is served at Stockerstrasse 44. In 1936 the Stoll Kaffee company was founded in Zurich's Seefeld district. Still a family business, Stoll Kaffee embodies Zurich's love of coffee, tradition and innovation.

You're always welcome to drop in and enjoy a cup of coffee at the Wicki Partners home base.
